"DJ Eddie J" (djeddiej) is a nickname attributed to one Edward J. Apostol, a web applications developer and instructor, based in Toronto, ON Canada. Born on February 10th, 1971, in Toronto, Edward has contributed to the development of web site projects and was an early pioneer in web development training on the post-secondary level.

The name DJ Eddie J came about during his teenage years as a student attending Monseigneur Paul Dwyer Catholic High School in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. During this time, Edward became known as a local DJ, doing local parties and dances in the area. He was also the voice of the morning announcements of his high school for time. Inspired by artists like Herbie Hancock and De La Soul, Edward continued his DJ interests into university, where he performed for various post-secondary socials, as well as local stints in the Toronto club scene. His musical interests ranged from House music, Rave music (Edward organized a number of raves in the early nineties) as well as popular music and disco/"old school" music.

Today Edward no longer performs as a disc jockey, but you may see him around the internet providing advice, opinions and knowledge as a web application developer and programmer.
