A modified version that allows users to play commercial DVDs from all regions was listed at US$499.[edit]

Isn't that hypocritical, Nintendo goes after modchip manufacturers who bypass CPRM and yet they do it (and profit from it). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.173.93.186 (talk) 23:10, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Verify?[edit]

The line "Q's DVD quality is greater than the other consoles." Where is the proof for this claim? Why is the quality better. This needs to be expounded on to avoid being POV. K1Bond007 00:33, May 18, 2005 (UTC)

it's true, i also need a proof it is better than other consoles

i heard ps2 dvd was just plain, wasn't allthat, so xbox must be better

GameCub?[edit]

I seem to remember hearing about this several years ago being refered to as the GameCub (I think that's how it's spelled) pronounced as -coob and not -cyoob (kub not kjub in IPA). Can anyone confirm this? ~ Oni Lukos c 17:21, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

nope, sorry, searched nothing like that >x<ino 15:24, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

Looking at this article, it doens't pack with a lot of information. I know someone like me or someone, if they actually do have that console, they might give in some information. With els information, I suggest this article should be merged with the Nintendo Gamecube article! It will have a minature section, under all the information about the Gamecube. What do you think? -->x<ino 03:17, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. There's information out there on the Q; it's just that as of yet, no one's put it in there. You wouldn't have merged the Nintendo GameCube article in 2001 with the video game console article just because there wasn't yet enough information in it, would you?—thegreentrilby 03:42, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TA-082 <-- WP overuses and inappropriately ues redirects. Anyone who has a TA-082 knows what a PSP is. Same for Devhook, now that's more like it, actual info :)

Merge into GameCube article[edit]

I don't really see the point in keeping a separate article for the Panasonic Q when it could be sufficiently explained in the GameCube article. While the previous merge request was declined on the grounds of obtainable info that could expand the article, no major effort has been made to do so despite the fact that it is essentially a stub right now, and there are very few reliable sources that even cover the console. Besides that, the console had its DVD capabilities mostly separate from the GameCube side, meaning that the GameCube hardware couldn't take advantage of the DVD offerings on it. I'd like to hear other editors' opinions on the notability of the Q, but with how limited its capabilities are, I just don't think the console is notable enough to warrant its own article. --SmartAn01 (talk) 06:14, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, no one has responded for more than two weeks, so I will commit to the merge now. --SmartAn01 (talk) 04:48, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
