Afrikaans is the language. Afrikaner is an adjective or noun. Afrikander is a noun, synonomous with Afrikaner. If you look it up on Google as Afrikaaner, and it will suggest that you look up Afrikaner, instead (although, common use seems to have no problem with the alternative spelling, and even Afrikaners (mis?-)spell the word, either "Afrikaner" or "Afrikaaner"). The dictionaries prefer "Afrikaner", and older ones prefer "Afrikander". -- Mkmcconn

Yeah, they ought to be merged.. and since 'afrikaner' seems to be much more common than 'afrikaaner' based on Google, I suggest that one ought to get the main entry.. kwertii
