[Untitled][edit]

In the penultimate version, Mudita was said to be: Unlike the other brahmaviharas, mudita is traditionally not cultivated with respect to one's own good fortune, only that of others (one of the implications of the translation of this term as "sympathetic" joy).

NONE of the 4 brahmaviharas are in respect to one's fortune. How about Compassion, and Benevolence (Metta), and Equanimity??? These 'loving-faculties' are at the core of Bodhicitta. Vajrallan 05:51, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

It was suggested to me that the spelling that is provided here is actually wrong - Mudita would actually be spelled मुदिता. Any confirmation on this? I found one source for that: http://www.ashtangayoga.info/philosophy/yoga-sutra-patanjali/chapter-1/item/maitri-karuna-mudito-pekshanam-sukha-duhkha/ Regards, --Xolani (talk) 11:35, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
