It is usually not possible because standard digital voltmeters have to small input resistance (impedance technically) and they draw excessive current from pH meter electrode. Also leaked current for ordinary voltmeters are to big to obtain real value of pH. Just to be clear, are you asking for someone to explain how to convert an over-the-counter voltmeter from a hardware store into a PH meter?
