When Blow by Blow was first released in the UK I seeem to remember that the first track 'You Know What I Mean' was titled 'It doesn't Really Matter'. can anyone confirm this? Askilaun (talk) 10:26, 19 June 2011 (UTC) I have my UK release in my hand (EPIC 69117). Yes, the first track on side 1 is listed as "It Doesn't Really Matter" on the album label, but isn't mentioned at all on the sleeve. Stevie Wonder[edit]

First album under Jeff Beck?[edit]

Actually it says (at least in the current version) that this is Beck's "first solo album". I maintain the even had it been the first album billed just to "Jeff Beck" rather than to "the Jeff Beck group", that would still be a practically a non-existent distinction. This was just as much a collaborative effort in terms of performance and writing as the previous records, and Beck was no less the leader of the group for the previous records. Ideally, a solo should album should have just one performer, like Bob Dylan's and Joni Mitchell's early albums. Failing that, it should at lest represent a clear and significant departure from a well-known and decidedly collaborative group structure, such as the Beatles's first few "solo albums" (one of which really was, literally, a solo album). Anyway, since this isn't even the first album billed to "Jeff Beck", as you point out, I'm deleting the misinformation. TheScotch (talk) 20:50, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
