Image of 'Britain First'?[edit]

There don't seem to be many images of the Britain First out there to illustrate Bristol's original aircraft. Could probably form a fair use rationale if one turned up. GraemeLeggett (talk) 07:34, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Range or speed?[edit]

"Formal work on an extended-range reconnaissance version started as the Blenheim Mk II, which increased tankage from 278 to 468 imp gal (1,260 to 2,130 L; 334 to 562 US gal). Only one Blenheim Mk II was completed, as flight tests revealed the increase in speed to be marginal and not warranting further development"

What increase in speed? It starts out taking about how they needed more range and so added an extra 150 gallons of fuel. Then suddenly the increase in speed isn't enough. What increase in speed? There was no mention of that at all. Was that what they were trying to achieve? They must have made other changes besides just increasing the fuel load if they wanted to increase the speed. Especially if they also increased the fuel load, which makes it heavier.

Also later, " Other modifications included the addition of a bomb-aimer's position and a Browning machine gun in the nose along with provisions for a semi-retractable gun turret in the dorsal position" What nose mounted Browning? The only Browning that ever went in the nose was the rearward firing defensive gun installations, and that was a later addition. The fixed forward firing Browning was in the port wing, just like the Beaufort and every other variant of the Blenheim. Idumea47b (talk) 19:32, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Size of crew[edit]

Neither the info box nor the lead say anything about the size of the crew. Very unhelpful. 10:21, 30 January 2024 (UTC) Vagabond nanoda (talk) 10:21, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
