Expenses[edit]
I am curious as to why George Osborne's mortgage expenses issue is not disclosed under expenses in this article.
Plenty sources out there for it.

Early Life[edit]
I take it some dimwit from Conservative Central Office decided that a picture and caption of "Osborne's ancestor King Henry III" was part of his "Early Life"?
Remove it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.174.214.242 (talk) 06:16, 28 November 2014
There is a small typo in the article.[edit]
The last sentence below the 2015-2016 header and more specific the last word of that sentence misses a 'b':
On the 13th July 2016, following Theresa May's appointment as Prime Minister, Osborne was sacked and replaced as Chancellor by Philip Hammond. He thus returned to the backenches.[98]
backenches -> backbenches. It is correct in the introduction.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.92.210.73 (talk) 15:32, 13 July 2016
Link?[edit]
Consider linking grandfather in Early life to the person in question - Sir George Francis Osborne, 16th Baronet (I don't think this is linked before)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.59.143 (talk) 21:25, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
Splitting proposal[edit]
I propose that section George Osborne#Chancellor of the Exchequer (2010–2016) be split into a separate page called George Osborne's tenure as Chancellor of the Exchequer. The section is currently 50,190 bytes which is over the recommended amount. Similar articles exist (see Category:Tenures in political office by individual) for long tenures such as Jeremy Hunt's tenure as Health Secretary, Iain Duncan Smith's tenure as Work and Pensions Secretary and Theresa May's tenure as Home Secretary (which were all also 6 years). If split, the article could go into more depth and would not take up as much space on his page. Sahaib (talk) 11:50, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

- @Sahaib Thanks for this. Seems like a good idea to me. When I split the Hunt and Duncan Smith articles, those splits were in response to a couple of long-standing templates but this idea for Osborne seems prudent given the overwhelming length of the section. - Agree with this. JLo-Watson (talk) 15:17, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Could you add the anchor "Confettigate" before "In April 2021" please? 90.202.89.123 (talk) 22:25, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
Not done: It's not clear what you want done. I thought perhaps by "anchor" you meant that want to add a section called "Confettigate" to the article. If that's the case, the answer is no--the event is not notable enough to warrant its own section. I am closing this request. If you can be more clear about what you want, then please feel free to reopen it.

Change the wording on of the opening paragraph from "is a British former politician" to "is a former British politician" to improve readability 94.175.92.46 (talk) 12:50, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
