#Here, Event One refers to the Big Bang. However, in the Fifth Doctor serial Castrovalva, Event One is taken to refer to the creation of the Galaxy, not the universe.

I though Castrovalva was clear that Event One - the hydrogen outrush (seen as an inrush by travelling backwards in time) was clearly meant to be the creation of the universe. Timrollpickering 23:32, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

No - the dialogue very explicitly refers to the creation of the Galaxy. I was as surprised as anyone when I watched it again and heard it stated as such. -khaosworks 04:22, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Wouldn't be the first time. The show does tend to use these terms interchangeably, and in the early years, they also used "solar system" synonymously with both galaxy AND universe, furthering the confusion. I'm definitely thinking both refer to the Big Bang; the "Event One" in Castrovalva was described as "the biggest explosion in history" - which would imply Big Bang - as opposed to the development of a galaxy or a solar system which are relatively peaceful events. Wishful etymology: "lazar"[edit]

I think the "lazar" <-- "Aesir" connection's very unlikely. I'd be really surprised to learn that the writer had anything in mind other than ""lazar house." Would anybody object if I removed the relevant bits of the "Outside references" section? Iralith (talk) 19:50, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary Length: Not too long. Thoughts?[edit]

I just watched Terminus, and then I read the plot summary, in order to clarify if I had missed any details. It answered some things I wasn't sure about, and included the details one often wishes to know if one is a Dr. Who follower. In fact, there were probably some points omitted. The comments above are evidence of how we Whovians like to know about the details of the sci-fi stories. I believe the plot summary is as short as it can get without omitting important pieces of information. And I can't see that having the plot summary a bit long is harming anyone. Yet, it seems that someone is tagging all the plot sections, but not editing them, just tagging them. So, what's the consensus here? Long or shorter? Both??
