Jewish Bolshevik?
[edit]The term "Jewish Bolshevik" has quite a few negative connotations, especially due to its usage by members of the far-right and the word "Bolshevik" doesn't make sense to be used for someone not involved in the 1917 revolution. His Jewish ancestry is also unknown. So should we not remove this term?RooinMahmood07 (talk) 11:08, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

In Anne Applebaum's book 'Gulag' it is claimed that Frenkel was born in Haifa. There is no information regarding the death of Frenkel, was he killed in the early fifties?
According to a recent documentary on the Russian channel NTV it was mentioned that Frenkel died suddenly at his home, probably of old age. They did not mention a date, however. Equilibrist 07:24, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Unreliable sources
[edit]Solzhenitsyn and Appleabaum as well are both non-historians and unreliable sources (they both espouse estimates for repressions that are far beyond those any reasonable modern historian would even consider, and their work is prone to exaggeration and falsehoods). It would be ideal if the current sources were replaced with reliable ones, and the information in the article updated accordingly — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91and71 (talk • contribs) 04:03, 16 May 2018 (UTC) I suspect an agenda here: Applebaum does respectable histories and Solz has more 1st hand knowledge of his subject (granted he's a novelist) than say, Howard Zinn had of his subject. You wouldn't credit Zinn, would you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:8000:C003:F79E:D003:14CA:577E:E949 (talk) 02:28, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
