In Russian language not so long ago there used to be a word narekat', which had the similiar meaning. I'm not sure if it's yet in use. Today's meaning is more like to call-on or to give a name, depending on dialects; to foretell or forecast is pronounced more like predrekat' (similiar root) and predveschat'.--Grigoryev 13:55, 12 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
