How about reserving this page for the horse for whom the race is named, and have a separate page for the race?Jfitzg

You might make this a disambigution page, like:

Little Brown Jug is the name of:

a horse
a harness race
a song

This should be disambiguated, as it's also the name of a college football trophy awarded to the winner of the Michigan-Minnesota game. It's the oldest trophy in collegiate football, dating to 1903.
