this is a text, that is a genre.

Wrong Text: Record of Music[edit]

This entire section is apparently about an entirely unrelated work. It's title and content need to be fleshed out and the whole thing moved to another page (e.g., Record of Music).

Since the text was mine, I undertook its moving to the suggested separate page. However, so little is known on the Canon of Music that Yue ji is probably the main source of its reconstruction.--Shanghainese.ua (talk) 13:36, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong text: [Needs translation][edit]

Another text in the wrong place. It could go to it's own page or be included (with some redirects) at the Record of Music page. Doesn't go here, though.

Yue Yuan Yu

While annotating the "Shihuo Zhi" chapter of the Book of Han, the Wei-dynasty scholar Deng Zhan mentioned a Yue Yuan Yu — another text on music ascribed to Liu De. A text of the same name is quoted in the Baihutong. The Baihutong also contains a quotation from Yueji which is absent from the known Yueji version. This speaks in favor of some different Yueji, of which the Yue Yuan Yu might be a part.
