I can't tell if this should be changed to a redirect to Platte River or if the Platte River article should be rearranged to point back here. There's definite overlap. -- ESP 05:32 15 Jul 2003 (UTC) How long is the south platte river anyway?

A separate article has been created to cover fly fishing -- possibly it should be incorporated here... Regards, Ariconte (talk) 03:42, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article is missing the catastrophic 1965 Platte River flood[edit]

Quite surprised to find that this article is completely missing any mention of the catastrophic regional flood, and record Denver flood, from 1965. I'll try to get back here and drop some sources. Cheers. N2e (talk) 21:12, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Chatfield a Denver Water source? Not likely[edit]

I would be good to see some source supporting the claim that Chatfield Reservoir is a major source of Denver Water. By Denver Water's info 80% of Denver Waters' supply is diverted above Chatfield Reservoir, by a diversion from Strontia Springs Dam to the Foothills Water Treatment Plant (near Roxborough) and an in-stream diversion to the Marston Treatment Plant, both above Chatfield. Based on this info I am changing "a major source of drinking water" to "a flood control basin"
