BIOGRAPHY
Described by the Buffalo News as “literate, witty, swinging and musical”, Chris Cannon has been compared to musicians such as Tom Waits and Leon Redbone and is rapidly gaining a reputation as an exceptional singer/songwriter. In a recent review, Nightlife magazine describes Chris’ latest release, “Suitcase Funeral” as “lyrically and musically stunning” and goes on to call it “a model of perfection”.
Chris Cannon’s writing is sophisticated yet personable and witty, his melodies catchy with harmonies that are influenced by the Folk, Country, Blues and Jazz traditions. The final product is unique, refreshing and has an attitude and cannot be pigeonholed into a recognizable box of any kind.
