Conflicting Information[edit]

This article has conflicting information with List of mountains in Brazil. The height stated here is 2,878 meters and the List says 2.787 meters. The rank is also conflicting, stating third here and seventh on the List. If someone has correct data about this mountain, please correct which one is wrong. Thanks.-Poli 2005 July 7 15:37 (UTC)

Updated info on altitude, Pico das Agulhas Negras[edit]

This peak "gained" a few meters when measured using GPS in 2004. The correct altitude is 2,791.55, and I've updated the article. I can't find for sure what the correct rank is, the measurement continues. The site I used to verify is www.ibge.gov.br, Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estastística. Brazil Highest Mountains Project[edit]

There is a project called "Pontos Culminantes do Brasil" developed by IME and IBGE.

The rank is not third, it is at least fifth, but according to what is said in pt-Wikipedia about this project it is 8th. You can check pt:Projeto Pontos Culminantes do Brasil, but it's better look its references.

In need of a translation I can help, message user Rmallmann in portuguese wikipedia. Rmallmann 13:03, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate error[edit]

The following coordinate fixes are needed for

Done. The location represented by the coordinates you suggest is less than 50 meters from the one that was specified in the article, but yours do seem to be slightly more accurate, for what it's worth. Deor (talk) 11:01, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
