Hmm.... nice quote.... GRider? --BaronLarf 01:11, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)

  • No, the quote is from a mailing list discussion by Jimmy Wales, however I fully endorse GRider's mission to better school articles on Wikipedia. I'm not interested in the politics. School Inclusionist 01:13, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I realize the source of the quote; I had quoted the exact same thing earlier today in a VfD. Well whoever you are, welcome to Wikipedia. --BaronLarf 01:23, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)
  • "Not interested in the politics?" Your username would suggest otherwise. . . Slac speak up! 01:43, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • I support that schools should be included on Wikipedia, sorry if this offends you somehow. Apparently one's own beliefs are enough to warrant a ban here from User:Snowspinner. School Inclusionist 01:54, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
      • I thought Wikipedia was a consensus-built enyclopedia, not a zero-sum death match to see whose views on deletion policy can "win". Slac speak up! 07:35, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Re: Abuse of power[edit]

Hi, School Inclusionist, thanks for contacting me. Unfortunately, I'm not comfortable in removing your block, as I am still a new administrator and this issue is not very clear-cut for me. I was about to ask for some outside opinions on WP:AN/I, but I see they are already discussing it there. I, personally, would not have blocked you, but I deal with more straightforward issues like vandalism. Also, it is a bit unusual for a new user to register with a name representing a side in a controversial debate and jump right in to editing on that topic. The timing of your arrival, right after User:GRider was blocked, probably raised a few eyebrows as well. I'm not accusing anything, but just pointing out why people might be wondering. — Knowledge Seeker 08:23, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
