changed the official website[edit]

icarus line's myspace links to http://separatethesounds.com/ as the official website, not icarusline.com which appears to be defunct.--Sludge 04:21, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone of article and unsourced claims[edit]

This article needs a major rewrite because it is not encyclopedic. It's tone reads like a public relations piece. It also needs sources for it's many claims. Dogtownclown (talk) 20:30, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This page could be improved because this band appears to have some notability. I personally don't have the time to work on it and improve it right now myself. But I would argue against deleting this page (if that debate ever gets started here). Dogtownclown (talk) 04:53, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article should be deleted or completely stripped to the bone[edit]

OK, I changed my mind, I think this article actually should be deleted. I spent about an hour searching for sources that would show some sort of notability and I have failed to turn up anything. No references have been used or have been added to this page since it was created and it appears a lot more info was recently added without any citations at all. If I removed all of the unsourced material the page would be blank. This band is not important and is not significant and so this page should be removed until such time that they have done something, anything. Dogtownclown (talk) 03:00, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New reference does not show notability or significance[edit]

An editor stopped by and removed the A7 tag after adding a reference that shows that the band exists. But the article still has a fatal flaw in that the article fails to show notability and why this band is important (note: this is a requirement for band/musician pages, from what I understand). A Google News Archive search provides multiple reliable sources that establish that The Icarus Line passes WP:GNG / WP:N. If you are still concerned about notability, feel free to take this article to WP:AFD if you wish to pursue deletion. Cunard (talk) 01:17, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, yes there are quite a lot of articles in the Google News archive, especially from 2004. If anyone is interested in building up this page the link you provided should be a big help. I hadn't used that search function before - I'll have to use that in the future. Dogtownclown (talk) 07:10, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up, Sourcing, Image Addition, etc.[edit]

Major article overhaul, including the addition of current links pertaining towards The Icarus Line, source citations and general beautification, especially in the realm of confirming and summarizing TIL's history. Additional information was obtained with the gracious cooperation of Joe Cardamone and Alvin Deguzman of The Icarus Line. Pages concerning the band and their history will be maintained and enhanced on an on-going basis. --DefyAuthorityNET 03:10, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
