Appropriate replies to "What's up?"[edit]

Not quite... but there have been various phrases that have enjoyed more common usage at various times... In DC, the answer is "Same-O Same-O", that has been standard for decades... "Nothin'" and "Not much" were both fairly common elsewhere, a fairly new one in parts of the South is "Hey're you doin?" ("How are you doing?") I think it needs its own article but only if it's notable, which is something I doubt. So unless you have real notable info to write about it, I think a better place for such slang might be Wiktionary or Urban Dictionary. Note that "What's the haps" gives a relatively meagre 40,100 hits on Google, whereas "What's up" gives a whopping 30,000,000. --Amit 00:31, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
