(overblown)
[edit]I think the Category/Subcategory syatem for Narnia is a bit overblown. Perhaps instead of having subcategories "Narnia Books", "Narnia Characters" and "Narnia Places"(with "Narnia Worlds" as a subsubcategory of places) they should all just be in the main Narnia category with the relevant lists(places, characters etc.) as individual entries as well. None of the current subcategories are exactly massively populated and this rearrangement would make navigation a lot easier. benmcq 00:05, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I agree, merging them would probably be the best solution --Kel-nage 00:21, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Redirect categories construction and population underway
[edit]Perhaps temporarily I have violated what seems to be the intended complementary relationship among redirect templates (and the parallel, auto-generated redirect categories) {{R fc}}, {{R fe}}, and {{R fp}} --redirects from fictional characters/creatures, elements/objects, and places/locations-- by treating the elements as comprehensive with the characters and locations subcategories. And Narnia element redirects to lists is a member of Category:Redirects by topic.
So long as this holds, the external tool CatScan V3.0 will handle all Narnia redirects that have been tagged as Narnia-related using one of the three redirect templates linked above. Simply enter "Narnia element redirects to lists|1" as the first of the CatScan Categories. (The suffix "|1" means 'named category plus subcategories one level down' and that covers the character and location redirects subcategories.)
The targets are not generally lists. To be continued. Compare Category:Prydain element redirects to lists. --P64 (talk) 23:56, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
