James Bain White (1865-1947). A very early publisher of Scottish scenic postcards, he first published coloured cards around the turn of the 19th century. He fathered Thomas Sime White (1898-1963) who after service in WW1 carried on the business until the the early 1960's when his son Alastair James Bain White (1937- ) took over the family concern.
