User:Kbh3rd/Tagging queries

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Testing some queries against a copy of the database to find images w/o tags that might easily be recognized as deserving of a certain type of tag. This is against the January 7 dump, so it's out of date for meaningful work – most of these will already be tagged. E.g.:

"Public" but not tagged[edit]

If the image description has the word "public", it might very well be described as public domain. So let's look for all untagged images with "public" in the description field:

select img_name, img_description from image where img_description like '%public%' and img_description not like '%{{%' ;

This could also be used to find images claimed to be PD, but probably are not. That EBay image, for example – I doubt that there's anything in the US law that says you lose your copyright by putting an image on an EBay page.
