Having been behind their buses on many occasions - its Trentway Wagar. --Dhodges 16:30, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There are two operators: TRW and Stagecoach/Gray Line Montreal, as noted in the template. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 22:49, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Gray Line Montreal is only a small part of Coach Canada operations and the parent article should also show the CC branded operations in Quebec, including the Gray Line tours. I created the Montreal spin off, but it now seems excessive considering similar articles for other divisions of Stagecoach which can included many operators. I will do the rewrite but I am just looking for an unbiased second opinion. -Secondarywaltz (talk) 22:24, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Actually, you may want to make sure that Gray Line Montreal is actually not a branch of Coach USA first...I'm not sure myself. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 03:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Adam, I hoped you would respond as you are one of the few people here that understand some of the complexity in the North American operations of Stagecoach. Just as you have grouped Coach USA into clusters of operators and regions, Coach Canada is really just another division of Coach USA, but they obviously had to use a different brand. The companies as outlined in the article operate Coach Canada branded buses and in addition in Montreal they operate the Gray Line franchise, which was inherited with the acquisition of Autocar Connaisseur. The difficulty is in outlining other funtions of the Connaisseur Group of which Gray Line is just a small part, just as Trentway-Wagar (NOT Coach Canada) also operates local transit and school bus services. Coach Canada is the brand at the top of the pyramid of divisional operations. I suspect that Gray Line New York was acquired in the same way. Is that worth a redirect to the operator and a small note in the article? -Secondarywaltz (talk) 15:53, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK! Not for now. Removed tags. -Secondarywaltz (talk) 15:52, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another scheduled service[edit]

Should this not be mentioned?
Coach Canada provides a weekly bus service between Peterborough and Havelock offered under Trentway-Wagar, with a scheduled stop in Hastings. http://www.coachcanada.com/coachcanada/ss.tickets.asp Are their others?--User:Brenont (talk) 03:28, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Trentway Wagar article should be merged here. The title Trentway-Wagar, which is the correct spelling, already redirects here, so it seems like Trentway Wagar is a POV fork. Set theorist (talk) 02:25, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Trentway-Wagar is not the same as Coach Canada. Trentway-Wagar has its own history (perhaps Trentway and Wagar were separate bus companies at one point), and Coach Canada represents a merger of not just Trentway-Wagar but also at least two other bus line companies.
