Edens Landing railway station is located on the Beenleigh line[1] in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Edens Landing in Logan City.

History[edit]

The upgrade of the train services in the 1980s led Leighton Developers to pay for a station at Edens Landing.[2][3] It was installed and named in about 1985,[4] and opened in January 1986.[2][3] On 21 April 1992, a second platform opened as part of the duplication of the line.[5] The road to the station was flooded in 2018, effecting the morning commute.[6] Also, in 2018, a lock it or lose it was conducted of the railway station car-park and, overall, the police were pleased with the compliance.[7]

Station Upgrade[edit]

The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project will be doubling the number of tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh, with modernised rail systems, station upgrades, and level crossing removals,[8] which will affect the Edens Landing station. In November 2023, an upgraded station had been proposed.[9] The Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently reviewing the community feedback, which was held between November and December 2023 with findings to be released in early 2024.[10] It is expected that contractors will be appointed by late 2024, subject to government approvals, while construction timeframes will be confirmed once contractors have been appointed.[10]

Services[edit]

Edens Landing is served by all stops Beenleigh line services from Beenleigh to Bowen Hills and Ferny Grove.[11]
