Estonian Navy 2023[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Estonian_Navy_-_Organization_2023.png

There are some mistakes to be easily resolved

  • Estonian word divisjon means in English squadron. It is a battalion size unit (as symbol marking shows). So there can not be any "divisions" in this navy organization.
  • There are no departmets as part of normal naval staff and regimental marking is also unclear.
  • There is no academy in Estonian Navy. It is in Estonian kool, what is in English school.

Correct left side symbols texts:

  • Mine Warfare Squadron
  • Patrol Ships Squadron
  • Coastal Defence Squadron
  • Combat Service Squadron
  • Naval School

FM 100-2-3 Motor Rifle Division chart[edit]

Dear Noclador, would you consider cleaning up and producing a clean tidier copy of the MRD chart on page 67/189 of FM 100-2-3?

https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File%3AFm100-2-3_-_The_Soviet_Army%2C_Troops%2C_Organization%2C_and_Equipment.pdf&page=67

The missing data on the first row is MRR (BTP) strength 2424 and Tank Regiment, 1,143 (see page 68/189 immediately below).

Many thanks!!

182nd Armored Infantry Regiment "Garibaldi"[edit]

Please provide a citation, or citations if necessary, for the paragraph in the section 11th Bersaglieri Battalion "Caprera" starting with the words: "On 30 September 1992...." Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 09:44, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: Oh dang! Sorry, I forgot that the 11th Bersaglieri Battalion "Caprera" is in there. I planned to break this section out into its own article and forgot that it is in the 182nd Armored Infantry Regiment and not in the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment. Please give me a day or two to break this unit out into its own, referenced article. Cheers.
@Donner60: Fixed: the 11th Bersaglieri Battalion "Caprera" has now its own article and is ready to be assessed. noclador (talk) 02:12, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

225th Infantry Regiment "Arezzo"[edit]

Please provide a citation in the section on World War I for the paragraph starting: "The brigade fought in July 1916...." This and the citation(s) for the 182nd will finish this group of articles. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 09:48, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: fixed. Thank you, noclador (talk) 11:13, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update post[edit]

Thanks for posting this. I checked the first one and find it is correct. Since the reviewer is not listed as a member of the project, and at first glance does not express an interest in military history, I will confirm them. The military history project seems to be a little stricter on the assessments than some others. Either today or in the next few days I will be setting up a new computer and handling a few other tasks. I may be offline for a day or a few days if this takes me considerable time. I think the setup probably won't take much time, but the transfer of programs and information might take some time. Donner60 (talk) 00:27, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Checked and confirmed them all and left brief message on assessment page. Reviewer did a good job. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 01:15, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Donner60: Thank you! I am in the middle of the creation of the 11th Bersaglieri Battalion "Caprera" article. The 182nd Armored Infantry Regiment "Garibaldi" should not be fine. Glad to hear the other reviews did a good job. Don't stress yourself. From tomorrow I will be busy until Friday with work again. Good luck with your new computer. Cheers, noclador (talk) 01:19, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

187th Paratroopers[edit]

In the article 187th Paratroopers Regiment "Folgore" under Recent times, paragraph 2 it says a unit citation was awarded for conduct in Somalia. I believe it should read either Albania or Bosnia and Herzegovina. Please double check this. Thanks. Djmaschek (talk) 02:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Djmaschek: Oh! Thank you for spotting the error, it is of course Bosnia and Herzegovina. Fixed it now. noclador (talk) 02:47, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad to be of assistance. Djmaschek (talk) 03:22, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

9th Paratroopers Assault Battalion "Col Moschin"[edit]

Please provide a citation for the command structure list under Cold War. My wife now has covid so the computer setup might be deferred along with other tasks. With luck perhaps I won't catch it. In any event, my online time for the next few days and probably several days thereafter still remains to be seen. Donner60 (talk) 06:40, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: Fixed, but take time off from wikipedia. Take care and I hope your wife gets well soon! All the best to both of you, and thank you for having a look at all these articles. noclador (talk) 21:55, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. My wife is recovering. I have been delayed on other tasks. I expect to be online for some time tonight at least. Donner60 (talk) 00:03, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I hope your wife recovers soon. Your attention to B class article reviews is greatly appreciated. Djmaschek (talk) 03:21, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lagunari Regiment "Serenissima"[edit]

The Republic of Venice subheading under history, which was written by an IP at an earlier time, has significant problems because it lacks citations. Not only is there a long paragraph with much information but without citations, each of the eight conflicts listed have no citations. The first Ottoman-Venetian war sentence is in the same paragraph as the fourth such war. It also has the strange wording "I (It?) had a need. Thousands." This is obviously colloquial and exaggeration. Even if this section is kept in some form, this phrase and word should be revised or omitted. It appears that something needs to be written about the Republic of Venice but it will need to have citations. Thanks for looking into this unusual problem with the section placed in the article by the IP user. Donner60 (talk) 00:55, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: I usually never delete paragraphs written by other editors, and skip over them, as it now turns out, these section are mangled garbage... likely google translate from some Italian text. I am not free this weekend, but I will get to it as soon as I have time to edit this down, as the Fanti di Mar of the Republic of Venice are merely spiritual predecessors to the Lagunari Regiment; and should have their own article. noclador (talk) 07:10, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 05:15, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Donner60: Just removed all the badly written, google translated and unsourced stuff from the Lagunari Regiment "Serenissima" article. Should be ready now for assessment as B-class. noclador (talk) 01:37, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I just reassessed it as B class. Another coordinator had already removed the whole group of articles. Apparently he did not see that one assessment was pending. So you won't see this on the assessment request page. Donner60 (talk) 01:49, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

187th Paratroopers Regiment "Folgore"[edit]

I have assessed this B class. Djmaschek has not been online since you made the correction noted above so I thought it appropriate just to change the assessment to B. After the Lagunari Regiment is corrected as noted in the previous section and assessed, this group of assessments will be completed. Donner60 (talk) 01:16, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! noclador (talk) 07:07, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Donner60: My desktop computer's hard drive failed. This kept me off Wikipedia for a few days. Djmaschek (talk) 03:19, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I assumed something, probably beyond your control, was keeping you offline. I thought I would explain why I thought I would go ahead with the review without implying any criticism. I am sure even the users who spend most days online need to yield to real life on occasions. I had a hard drive failure a few years ago. I remember the trouble and inconvenience but luckily data on the drive could be saved. I bought a new computer, which in turn gave the same signs of failing about two years ago. I replaced that with a refurbished computer which I had hoped would last until the end of Windows 10. Same thing, signs of imminent failure. Now I have signs of it happening again to the 10-year old computer that I put back into service as another stopgap. That is why I have jus bought a new one and am planning to set it up soon. Real life is the major holdup, including signs now that I may have picked up covid from my wife (recovering) despite both of us having the latest shots. I think it will take some time to set up the new machine from the looks of it, including the necessary program and info transfers. At least it is compatible with Windows 11. I appreciate your work, as always. Donner60 (talk) 06:11, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regiment "Lancieri di Firenze" (9th)[edit]

Do you have a citation for this regiment's participation in the Somalia operation? The sentence at the end of the paragraph would not seem to cover it and the JSTOR article does not name the regiment. I note this because of the question raised about the previous article in which the paratroop regiment had participated in Bosnia rather than Somalia. Thanks. By the way, I now have covid - again, after a short three months ago. I am not up to doing some other tasks like setting up a computer right now. If I don't get worse, I can sit here and at least respond to some or all of the current assessment requests. Donner60 (talk) 01:07, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: The Somalia mission is covered by the citation nr. 3 (L'Esercito Italiano verso il 2000 - Vol. Primo - Tomo II). The entire last paragraph is a shortened translation of the corresponding last paragraph in that book. I left out the part in the book, which was about a soldier of the regiment getting a Gold Medal of Army Valor. Wish you a speedy recovery. I am still swamped with work, and so can't yet list the last cavalry and aviation articles at the assessment page. The cavalry articles have too short intros, and for the aviation units I have to double check their organization before submitting them. If you still feel like having a look at these articles now - I would then add the intros next weekend: Regiment "Nizza Cavalleria" (1st), Regiment "Piemonte Cavalleria" (2nd), Regiment "Savoia Cavalleria" (3rd), Regiment "Genova Cavalleria" (4th), Regiment "Lancieri di Novara" (5th), Regiment "Lancieri di Aosta" (6th), Regiment "Cavalleggeri Guide" (19th). And the aviation units: 1st Army Aviation Regiment "Antares", 3rd Special Operations Helicopter Regiment "Aldebaran", 4th Army Aviation Regiment "Altair", 5th Army Aviation Regiment "Rigel", 2nd Army Aviation Support Regiment "Orione", 3rd Army Aviation Support Regiment "Aquila", 4th Army Aviation Support Squadrons Group "Scorpione". noclador (talk) 01:21, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Please list the new ones next week. I need to close the contest in a few days. Otherwise, I can't be sure whether I will get worse or start to recover. Covid infection and treatment has changed some. I sent a question to my MD, who I just saw ten days ago. I got a shot the last time I had it. Now the treatment may be a prescription or just wait and see if it worsens over the next few days, then further advice. My wife recovered without treatment but I am wary about the effect it may have on me. Donner60 (talk) 01:26, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Will list them all after the weekend. Take care and get well, and glad to hear your wife has recovered already. noclador (talk) 01:30, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Donner60: Changed the class at Talk:Regiment "Cavalleggeri di Saluzzo" (12th) to B-class. This is one of these articles, which checks all the B-class points, but then has "class=C"... Now that you said it is B-class, I felt ready to change that. noclador (talk) 01:40, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I am glad you did that. It seems I missed that step. Donner60 (talk) 01:49, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: thank you for finishing this batch of articles. With these there are now 204 B-class articles about Italian Army regiments and battalions. Another 96 and we're done with all the regiment and battalion level units, then come the brigades and divisions. Thank you for your help with this project of mine. noclador (talk) 07:40, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see my tag for clarification in this article. LilHelpa (talk) 14:14, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Should have been "heir", replaced it with "successor". Thank you for spotting the typo. noclador (talk) 19:59, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, noclador. I noticed you updated the organization of the Corps for 2023 (in this edit), and wanted to know if you have a source or sources for that. I would like to include the organization of the Rotational Light Division in the RoAF 57th Air Base article, that's why I'm asking for the sources. Thank you! Alin2808 (talk) 17:31, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If I remember correctly the answer to your question can be found at this earlier discussion: User talk:Noclador/Archive 13#V Corps organisation 2023. noclador (talk) 19:29, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Finally got around to edit the article. Thank you for the answer! Alin2808 (talk) 22:46, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
