Should Tseung Kwan O New Town, Tseung Kwan O village, and the Bay of Tsueng Kwan O be separated in three articles, or as three sections in one article?

The Tseung Kwan O village was the original location the place name "Tseung Kwan O" (將軍澳) referred to. The bay is named Junk Bay in English, although it is also "將軍澳" in Cantonese. The government adopted the names "Tseung Kwan O" and "將軍澳" for the new town development on the reclaimed lands from the Bay. — Instantnood 11:39, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)
Doesn't the name Junk Bay refer to the fact that rubbish was dumped here for reclamation? - Jlao04

Touched up a bit[edit]

I've touched up the article a bit, since it's the least service I can do for the town where I live :-p. Next step is to find some relevant sources to back up certain information on the page: (1) history of the name, (2) history of new town development. I'll also add a population section and cite the Census and Statistics Department website for that.--Lapin rossignol 16:04, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merger?[edit]

Should this page be merged with Tseung Kwan O? - jlao 04 08:23, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lost information?[edit]

Has someone cut about six sections from this article? I found a much longer mirror version at Netipedia: http://www.netipedia.com/index.php/Tseung_Kwan_O (of course this link may soon be updated to lose that info, but I've stashed it just in case)

1 Geography 2 Name 3 History 4 Tseung Kwan O Village 5 Population and Constituent Areas 6 Facilities 7 Transport 8 Industrial Estate 9 Shopping 10 See also 11 References 12 External links

In particular, this population info seems useful:

Population and Constituent Areas
According to statistics from the 2001 Census, the population of Tseung Kwan O New Town is around 290,095.
As Tseung Kwan O is not considered a formal entity in the census, the above population figure takes into account residents of the following areas in Sai Kung District which comprise Tseung Kwan O New Town: Hang Hau, Sheung Tak, Tsui Lam, Hong King, Po Lam, Yan Ying, Wan Hang, King Lam, Hau Tak, Fu Yu, Tung Ming, On Hong, and Kwon Ming.
