Old talk[edit]

As started, this page is essentially a merge of Siberia Airlines Flight 1047 and Volga-AviaExpress Flight 1303 - they seemed to need to be together.

Added a little info about possible suspects. Another change was in passenger and crew numbers, my source being [1].

Oh, and I removed the passenger list. Evercat 19:11, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Flight 1303 not Flight 1353[edit]

It looks like the Bartles ref is in error with respect to the flight number of the Volga-AviaExpress; see the Commons recent image of signs near the crash site.PeterWD (talk) 23:24, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why such light sentences?[edit]

In the 'old days' such corruption would have led to executions. These people who accepted bribes seem to have hardly been punished at all - are there any statments in any Reliable Source that speculated on why?104.169.17.20 (talk) 00:14, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Flight times[edit]

The BBC news article linked in the references refer to the flights taking off within a few minutes of each other. Then, the same BBC also refers to Siber Airlines leaving 17:35 and Volga-Aviaexpress 1303 at 18:15. Even assuming they've converted the times in some way, this doesn't match 21:35 and 22:30. ASN has Siberia Airlines flight 1047 as departing 22:40 and Volga-Aviaexpress at "about 22:30". Is someone able to read the actual accident report in Russian and confirm the times with citation?
