I don't know, but is this page really necessary? It seems a bit too trivial to be in Wikipedia. Denelson83 21:49, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agreed. Trivia is nice...this isn't. Delete. - Lucky 6.9 21:53, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Pointless, everything that can be put in there has already been, and the content is fairly useless. Beelzebubs 21:55, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oy. Delete. RickK 22:17, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Just silly Satori 01:37, May 19, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. I do know, this page isn't really necessary, and to call it "trivial" elevates it to a higher level than it deserves. Anyone interested in the answer to this uninteresting question can determine it in about fifteen seconds visually by scanning a list of state capitals. Dpbsmith 23:49, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Can we also add List of U.S. state capitals that end in polis? RickK 22:38, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. It's not the strangest list on Wikipedia. Snowspinner 22:56, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, along with the article RickK suggested. There's already a list of the state capitols. This is just riddiculous. --Starx 23:54, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Even sillier. Satori 01:37, May 19, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. The editor in me asked, "The same first letter as what?" Upon reading, I get it now, and I want it deleted. Moncrief 02:07, May 19, 2004 (UTC)
  • Some trivia is interesting. This is not. Delete, along with the 'polis' list. -- Cyrius|&#9998 02:10, May 19, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete them both. I can't believe someone was silly enough to create these ridiculous articles. -- Dominus 02:30, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both. These are pointless lists (stress on the pointless, not the list). Average Earthman 12:11, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • I generally support lists, but even I say delete these two. MK 15:45, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. A pointless list that is unlikely to ever have more than two items. The other list is pretty useless too. —Mulad 20:04, May 19, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Anyone interested in the answer to this second, equally uninteresting question can determine it in about five seconds visually by glancing briefly at a list of state capitals. SAAAAYYYY, I just had an idea. How about a "list of state capitals that have the same name as their state?" How about a "list of state capitals whose states have postal abbreviations that are exactly two letters long?" How about a "list of difficult-to-remember state capitals?" Oooh, oooh, back in a minute, I've got some articles to write! Dpbsmith 23:49, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
    • How about "List of state capitals whose last two letters are the same as their state's postal abbreviation"? Albany, New York and maybe Topeka, Kansas MK 05:38, 20 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
      • The abbreviation for Kansas is KS. -- Cyrius|&#9998 06:08, May 20, 2004 (UTC)
        • Comedic license. MK 16:17, 20 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
          • But it wasn't funny. Moncrief 18:24, May 20, 2004 (UTC)
            • Tough crowd. MK 05:24, 21 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete stupid trivia --Jiang 01:00, 20 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • I was going to say delete both, but I fear they will keep getting recreated. Maybe a better long-term solution would be to merge/redir into a more general article titled something like "US state capitol trivia", which might grow into something interesting/encyclopedic.
