Stephen Trumbull[edit]

Stephen Trumbull was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was speedily delete because it's not needed on Wikipedia. - Ta bu shi da yu 01:52, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Nonnotable vanity. Yelyos 01:41, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)

  • This is certainly grounds for a speedy delete. [[User:Livajo|力伟|]] 01:47, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
In its current incarnation, yes, but there was also an earlier revision in the history which was not a speedy candidate but still eligible for vanity deletion. Yelyos 01:53, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
I'm not exactly clear on how the rules work in situations like this, but I thought that since the author voluntarily removed the material he put up we should ignore its ever having existed. In any case, there is no justification for any of the material being in the Wikipedia. [[User:Livajo|力伟|]] 02:53, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • First iteration was not a speedy, but a serious delete. The normal thing to do would be to revert the "an idiot" version as vandalism, which it is, but I'm not jumping up to do it because what lies beneath isn't notable, either. Original version has the vanity autobiography. Geogre 05:26, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Oh, I meant to vote, too. Delete, obviously. Geogre 16:04, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete all in this sequence. I don't think presidents of student groups are intrinsically notable, and despite there being some meagre attempts at saying these people arn't nonnotable, none of them have convinced me. Sorry. --Improv 18:12, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • NOTE that this vote appears to apply to a series of related listings on VfD of which Stephen Trumbull is not a part. Improv, if I'm correct in that guess, your vote should be moved to the next nomination below. Bearcat 04:07, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Oops! will do. Delete this one anyhow, for being not notable. --Improv 01:38, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. DCEdwards1966 04:30, Nov 20, 2004 (UTC)

I've speedily deleted. There is no need for this sort of nonsense on Wikipedia. - Ta bu shi da yu 01:51, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
