Name of technique[edit]

This technique is referred to as "slap and pop" or "slap-and-pop," not "slap-back." Slap-back is usually used to refer to an undesireable form of echo. Proposal: move page to Slap and pop. Badagnani 23:33, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No! I propose a move to slap bass, avoiding that issue (in the article title at least) and using the most popular name for the technique. - furrykef (Talk at me) 16:39, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
i propose either. i have never heard of "slap back" style bass. okay, i'm just moving the bloody thing to Slap bass. i have nevr heard "slap back" in my life. if anyone objects, let's get a discussion going before we move it back, because there seems to be an evident consensus (of us four at least). also, mention popping more. This makes no sense[edit]

The article is called Slap Back, yet slap back is never used in the article, then the heading: Slap Bass has 'also commonly know as slap bass' underneath it!? 84.71.1.112 10:13, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

changed! Joeyramoney 06:07, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

long lost twin article[edit]

it seems this page was originally started by a frail young n00b (or more aptly, one time IP user) who did not see the article Slapping. unfortunately, nor did anyone else who edited this page. a redirect is very clearly in order, but this seemed almost too ridiculous to be true that there were two articles on the exact same thing, so i would rather someone else red. this than i, to affirm that i'm not seeing s&#t. okay, i redirected it. Joeyramoney 18:14, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
