Untitled[edit]

Speaker Byrns was/is far better known to Tennesseans, especially Middle Tennesseans, as "Jo Byrns" than he ever was as "Jospeh Wellington Byrns". It is doubtful that he would be known as this by anyone or even recognized by almost anyone other than serious political historians. Articles should be merged so that this full name is the bolded indicated name at the start of the article, but it will almost always be looked up as "Jo Byrns". especially since he is memorialized by a high school with this name.

The current title is indeed bad. I agree with your suggestion. If not to Jo Byrns, it should go at least to Joseph W. Byrns. john k 16:05, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Orphan footnote[edit]

Someone put the following text under the References section. I removed it, but can not figure out were it goes in the article. Can someone find it a home?

(removed text) 2. Gowan, Phillip A., Byrns/Jackson, A Record of Their Probationary State, Nashville, 1983.
