Off article[edit]

Was Sakevi really "attacking" Jagatara? I didn't think he was and the Youtube page doesn't support it. Also the sources are pretty shitey, Detestation came out in 1983 because somebody on Metallum got the date wrong? And links to subjective stuff like fan reviews to support claims. Might fix this article later.

My last edit[edit]

My last edit wasbeside other reasons, because, although I agree GISM weren´t crust punk musically speaking, they are not as known in the hardcore scene as they are in the crust punk.Violenciafriki 21:35, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Gism just simply means "Sperm" or more commonly known as spunk, cum, etc —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.1.175.253 (talkcontribs) 17:21, 15 November 2005 (UTC).[reply]

Here's a tip: Learn what actual Hardcore is, not that crappy Youth Crew Nike Dunks collector crap. --70.19.225.232 (talk) 18:24, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stop trying to delete[edit]

Why is some moron trying to delete the information about GISM live shows etc? Ok get this straight: we can go on this forever dude, I can assure you I find quite entertaining to look at this page and revert it as many times as needed. If you think what is said iss unaccurately described, try to rewrite it, but don´t just delete it without explanation. Besides I don´t know the point in deleting that info, most of it (about live performances) is documented in videos, and the other info is left as it is, only rumors. Changes[edit]

Hey if someone wants to change anything, feel free to discuss here with everyone. Otherwise, random moronic vandalism (such as deleting the whole discussion page) will be reverted as many times as needed, by me or any of the other folks :) Violenciafriki 18:09, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Content truthfulness[edit]

so Violenciafriki- you are moronic G.I.S.M. fan(or NOT???), I'd said you reason why deleting infomation. BECAUSE your writing included many irresponsible wrong gossip. G.I.S.M. start to play live performance only in Japan 24 years ago and now perpetual freeze. you are 22 years old Spanish, and seems you haven't watch real G.I.S.M. live show in Japan. you can only get info about G.I.S.M. from VIDEO, CD, WEB, or RUMOR. So you have believed wrong gossip and you mistake many about SAKEVI. he was(the past and now) NOT YAKUZA MEMBER and he is normal at daily life , so your writing

Some claimed Sakevi was a yakuza member and that he doesn´t allow any store in Japan to sell or distribute any GISM material (even resorting to violence to prevent this). It was also rumored that Sakevi was mentally ill, which would explain his psychotic bursts at live performances and his constant obssession with death, war, torture and similar topics. >>>> is a perfect irresponsible LIE.

THINK ABOUT YOURSELF, HOW MUCH CORRECTLY INFORMATION YOU HAVE. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 211.219.169.36 (talkcontribs) 01:40, 12 December 2005 (UTC).[reply]

OK so let´s get this straight. First you just delete information without any explanation at all (not very respectful to other users, who may have got wrong info, but you should give some explanations of your deletions and assume good faith damn!).
After that, you vandalize my user page and call me racial slurs such as "smelly spanish" or some other retarded crap that shows your level of intelligence.
Hey, I don´t really think that´s a way to make your point. You only look like some kind of moronic troll.
The info about GISM performances that you keep on deleting like a subborn irrational idiot, is WELL DOCUMENTED ON VIDEOS people like me have watched. I´m in no way claiming I´ve been to a live performance by GISM, but I´ve seen footage with my own eyes, as many people have done too, and it´s true.
The thing about SKV being a yakuza and being mentally ill are put as what they are RUMOURS. if you talk to people or just surf the web a little you´ll see many peopla actually believe it. Maybe it´s not true, I don´t know GISM personally, but it is true that (quite a number of) PEOPLE DO BELIEVE IT.If you can´t understand english and read that it is in no way a statement of truth (it´s not like it´s said "Sakevi has been medically diagnosed schizophrenic"), then it´s your problem. Stop vandalizing wikipedia and discuss matters before getting all psycho because someone said something about your favourite band that you don´t fancy. Article started[edit]

I started this article originally, and the reason I included references to the crazy performances are because they're very well documented. I own videos that clearly show Sakevi playing with a flamethrower, or tossing chairs at the audience. You can't possibly try to argue that this isn't reliable because I've never seen the band in person, are you claiming somebody doctored up all these videos just to trick people into spreading rumours about the band? Everything that's an unsupported rumour is clearly marked as being so. So please, quit messing with the page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.76.34.144 (talkcontribs) 22:31, 17 February 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Take this article down[edit]

obviously G.I.S.M. should not have any kind of internet prescence. PLEASE TAKE THIS ARTIKLE DOWN. THANX! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nuclear armed (talkcontribs) 19:16, 29 July 2006 (UTC).[reply]

References[edit]

This article needs references for all the claims made in it. It doesn't matter if you've seen videos with it in it; we need specific article references and web page references that will back up all the claims made here. Otherwise, these claims will be removed. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 17:27, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tone[edit]

The article is currently written in a tone similar to what you'd find in a genre magazine review. It therefore is more "gushy" than is proper for an encyclopedic article, which should be objective and have a somewhat aloof tone that merely presents the information in a factual way without giving the appearance of an opinion on the matter either way. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 17:27, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Information removed[edit]

This part has recently been deleted:

Imagery: GISM were widely known for violence present in their lyrics and live shows. On stage, Sakevi would often wear a balaclava and bullet belt, waving lit flares in audience members' faces, using microphone stands as clubs, and attacking concert goers as Vietnam War footage was projected behind him. In the past he has attacked photographers for taking pictures of him and has chased audiences with a flamethrower. It has also rumored that Sakevi has shot off live ammunition rounds at shows, although it is illegal in Japan for citizens to bear arms.

I don't see the need to completely delete the part with the violence that was present during the shows and lyrics. Because this was a part of the bands' image or point-of-view and gives the reader a bit of information on GISM that can't be found in simple facts like the discography or the member list... Though the rumors can be left out as they serve no purpose but building a myth, any information that is clearly verifiable should be left in(for example: by video documents like the gas burner attacks)! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.97.135.38 (talk) 19:29, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
