Halibutt, in your suggested pronunciation of "Zeromski," what does the rectangle at the start of his name signify? "Zh"? The same symbol, in your version of "Boleslaw Prus," seems to signify "o"; and in "Sienkiewicz"--"Si." Is this an inconsistency, or error? If you ARE using IPA, it's not being correctly reproduced at my end. I'd rather skip the pronunciation advice altogether, than produce gibberish. Logologist 14:45, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Unfortunately, some browsers, including Internet Explorer, don't render the IPA characters in Unicode correctly. If you want to see IPA symbols instead of little rectangles, then I'd suggest using a better browser. --Kpalion 18:52, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Yup, a better browser than Internet Exploiter is the way to go here. In my IE it is rendered correctly, but only when I point my mouse to the link. [[User:Halibutt|Halibutt]] 19:57, Nov 28, 2004 (UTC)
