EV series?[edit]

I believe there was an EV2 - same as the EV engine but with 12 valves. This was used in the Honda Ballade (aka Civic Sedan) and Rover 213 in the 1980s - does anyone have the exact dates? Sigbusyff

best mileage[edit]

I am trying to find the Honda with the best gas mileage, or a list of Hondas with their mileage. I know the CRX HF gets high mileage but the carbs are expensive to rebuild. The Insight gets high mileage but the cars are still kind of expensive. I'm looking for a cheaper car with the best mileage, say, the 1990 Honda Civix DX Hatchback with the 1500 cc 16-valve engine, and fuel injection, 5 speed stick, no power steering, no air conditioning. Is there a better one than that?

  • Do the research and report back w/ cited sources - this is where you write information as such, not where you ask for it... Nicholas SL Smithchatter 05:27, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

EW series[edit]

I copied some notes and put them at the bottom of the EW section, from here: http://www.superhonda.com/forum/printthread.php?t=63513&pp=20

EW1 = 1488cc SOHC CVCC carb '84-'87 Civic/CRX (USDM) EW2 = 1488cc SOHC non-CVCC SOHC EFI '84-'87 Civic/CRX (CDM)

I hope someone with knowledge on those models can verify that it is correct/complete. --Nostep 13:04, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

ER series[edit]

Somehow the specs of the ER series engine were changed about. The ER was a CVCC, 12-valve engine, in all markets for which I have been able to find any evidence. I have five references available (including online from Honda themselves: [1]). Original brochure scans can also be procured if necessary. Best,  ⊂Mr.choppers⊃  (talk) 22:49, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
