This poem has been written not for its meaning, but for the puzzle and the pleasure gained from finding the right words to fit the visual signs. When one would find the right terms for these signs, this would be the result:

At stated periodic times
I love to sit and dash off rhymes
Till comatose at last I fall
Exclaiming "I don't care at all."

Though I'm an ass to risk objection
By running this in this here section
This pointer of the Fleeting Hour,
This lofty high Phoenician tower—

A paragrapher's hope dispels
All fear of deadly parallels.
