From Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Vandalism Templates: oh and ps now my user page is in the catogory votes for deletion, thanks,no, well then i understand that you wouldn't know if its in use or not. — it wasn't in use when I listed it on Votes For Deletion. I did that at 11:31, Aug 2, 2004 - you didn't put that template on your user page until 19:57, Aug 4, 2004.

The template system is really not intended for things like this - your user page was much better the way you originally had it, with the info box code in there, rather than in a template. —Stormie 04:21, Aug 5, 2004 (UTC)

RE: Template:InfoBox1[edit]

oh, sorry, added it before i noticed the vfd i like used the template because it had the second box with info to add it to another page. I'll just revert back i guess if its going to be delted. Maybe pst a link to a sub-page within my user space where i can give the code to people.--Ryan B. (Talk, contributions) 08:59, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Page move vandalism[edit]

Hi Ryan. When you see page move vandalism, just move the page back using the move tab on the top. Do not cut/copy, as this looses the edit history. If you get an "page exists" error, ask an admin to delete the target page, and then you can move it. -- Chris 73 | Talk 01:11, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

RE: Page Move[edit]

Yes if you look just below i am aware of this i copy and pasted the first 2 times because i didn't know but the third time i used the move page.--Ryan B. (Talk, contributions) 01:24, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Yes, sorry, i missed that. I also missed the comments by Guanaco, since I checked only the bottom of the talk page. Anyway, I blocked that user for page move vandalism for 24 hours. -- Chris 73 | Talk 02:20, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Page move vandalism[edit]

You can move pages back over redirects without any history such as the one that was at Hansa Bank. If you can't revert page move vandalism, never copy-and-paste–move it back, because that destroys the page history and violates the terms of the GFDL. Guanaco 22:23, Aug 3, 2004 (UTC)

RE: Page Move[edit]

oh, well i tried that before and it sayed the page already existed so only a sysop can move it at least when i tried back when user:cooldude moved pages and i had to fix it that what i did, i wasn't aware that i shouldn't revert that way, sorry.--Ryan B. 22:31, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Template:Novandalism1[edit]

Could you please explain what the purpose of Template:Novandalism1 is? RickK

RE: Template NoVandalism1[edit]

Template:NoVandalism1 would be used in a situation like the one with CoolDUde so Suncrest Washington where he thought the other user was vandalising the other user could use that template on the page for CoolDUde to notice, wether or not it would of helped probably not in CoolDude's Case, because he is stuburn but to some less stubun useres it may get the point accross to them.--Ryan B. 18:06, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)

RfA[edit]

It looks very unlikely that you're going to pass RfA this time, so I'm going to, unless you really mind, remove your nomination. It looks like the main reason that you're failing is that you're still not really meeting the minimum requirements described at the top of the page - three months at Wikipedia and 500-1000 edits. Although you meet the technical requirement of three months, it should be noted there are about 10 weeks in which you made no edits at all. My advice to you would be to keep working at it - revert vandalism, add to articles, participate in RfA and VfD, and be a really active Wikipedian for two months or so. When you hit 1000 edits, drop me a message on my talk page and I'll be happy to renominate you. Snowspinner 14:31, Aug 2, 2004 (UTC)

Admin Request[edit]

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think your nomination has little chance of success. You are doing good work, and it is appreciated, but you're just too new to become admin. While in my opinion you don't need quite 3000 edits as some users say, 500-1000 edits should be there. Nominating yourself prematurely will make this more difficult later. Sorry, and good luck -- Chris 73 | Talk 10:31, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Hi. You forgot to sign your self-nomination. -- Chris 73 | Talk 09:39, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

RE: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship[edit]

oops, my mistake, fixed. --Ryan B. 09:46, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for tidying up after 216.186.33.4 on my user page; it's most appreciated.
Yours,

No Problem[edit]

Thats no problem, beside I kindof hate for an admin to find vandalism from 216.186.33.4 because thats a proxy server that my entire school district connects though and I use wikipedia alot at school and that ip has been banned before so I cannot edit pages then.--Ryan524 17:41, 4 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks, Ryan, but the msg I'm looking for isn't on that page. I already looked there. RickK 23:29, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Well...[edit]

Well, thats the only page like that, that I know of. Well sorry i couldn't help you out anyway.--Ryan524 23:35, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Hail to the chief music link[edit]

Hiya! I noticed you added a link for Hail to the Chief on this article: Bush inaugurated for second term

It doesn't seem to link to anything, though. Do you have the original link from the Commons site? I wasn't able to track it down over their, either.
