Outswinger/inswinger are in much more common use than outdipper/indipper.

Can someone point out a usage of "outdipper"? A google search returns 4 copies of this page and 1 page about motorcycles or something... I certainly had never heard the term before. Sam Holden 12:42, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Never heard of it.[edit]

I also have never heard of term outdipper.

I absolutely agree - I've never heard of in/out 'dipper'. Inswinger and outswinger are much better!--Broomballcory 06:32, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Nobody who plays cricket uses the term Out/In Dipper. I agree with the post from Broomballcory, get it edited

We already have both outswinger and inswinger, which are better and more detailed articles anyway. I'm going to mention this on Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject Cricket, and see if there's a consensus to make links to the two (eg in Comparison between cricket and baseball) point to the more common terms. Rubbish[edit]

been playing cricket my whole life, never heard of it

Remove this please![edit]

It's factually innacurate and misleading, and should not even be merged with outswinger or inswinger as those articles are much better. As has been said, no-one would ever use these terms, and the attempted descriptions are not even technically correct.

Merge done[edit]

per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Outdipper. (Actually, there was nothing to salvage) I@n 16:12, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
