Latin motto[edit]

The county's alleged motto, which was added to this page on September 26, 2016 by an anonymous IP user, is in nonsensical Latin. The phrase appears nowhere in the works of Cicero, as recently noted by classicist Michael Gilleland. The claim is not cited, and nowhere on the county's website is even the existence of a motto mentioned. Given all the above I am removing this "fact". If someone has an objection, well, I've started the discussion here. — AJDS talk 23:52, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A further observation: this totally uncited statement has attracted negative attention to the county: an editorial in the San Francisco Bay Times has recently noted: "By the way, I was just trying to check where Morrow County might be (it's sort of in the middle of Ohio) and I noticed the County motto is 'dolorem et dolor liberum,' which means: 'pain and suffering are free.' What kind of motto is that?" The information must have been pulled from this page or one of its many mirrors; nowhere else and in no other context is this fake Latin phrase or any other motto for Morrow County mentioned. — AJDS talk 23:57, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
