Italo Disco[edit]

We should discuss and decide what we want to do with page. I read today many articles about "Italo disco", and as i understood there are large quantities of general public that actually think that "Euro disco" and "Italo disco" are the same thing. I also think that its impossible to define "Italo disco" as a style of Italian artists only , because music genre describes music not a geographical location and if artists from other counties made the same or similar music their music can be also described as an "Italo disco". Meantime i did a redirect from "euro disco" to "italo disco", but we should decide about "italo disco" definition, and in any case "Euro Disco" artists should be represented in some place, or on "Italo Disco" article or on separate "Euro Disco" article. Milk, there is no need to post messages about Italo on my talk page, because Italo article along with many other articles is in my watchlist and if you add message to Italo talk i can see it in watchlist. Vorash 12:00, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi Milk: Please refrain from personal attacks such as the one that I just removed from Talk:Italo disco. Vorash was wrong to accuse you of sockpuppetry for making posts when not signed in and I have explained this to him. If you are uncomfortable with something that another editor says of you, please explain your discomfort to them without using insults. Keep up the good work that you are doing at Italo disco. —Theo (Talk) 08:27, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi Milk: Thanks for your explanation. I understand your frustration with the many small edits. I hope that the external editors feature of the new software version will enable User:Vorash to make long edits in one hit but I will not propose this until the installation processes are more user-friendly to non-technicians. My phrase "As of 2005 several online radio stations stream the genre …" does not indicate that the stations started broadcasting in 2005. It means "currently" they are broadcasting. I avoid things like "currently", "now" and "at present" because they may not be true next year. Using the As of 2005 link allows us an easy way to find assertions that may have efluxed. IF I knew when the stationjs started streaming I would say "Since XXXX several online radio stations …" but I lack that detail.—Theo (Talk) 28 June 2005 11:44 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Underdog Records[edit]

An editor has nominated Underdog Records, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Underdog Records and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The McRackins[edit]

A tag has been placed on The McRackins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - -[The Spooky One] | [t c r] 11:45, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
