On Polish contribution to World War II there is OF Huragan (Hurricane) - any data on this one? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 15:58, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

In fact it was OF "Ouragan" (French destroyer, Bourrasque type). After capitulation of France was confisquated by Royal Navy. In period from 18 July 1940 to 30 April 1941 was sailing under Polish ensign (and British number H 16), with Polish crew, mainly from ORP Grom sunked in battle of Narvik. In 1943 OF Ouragan was returned to Free French Navy. Radomil 07:36, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I removed ship of Project 621 class because it is sill unsure if it will be finished in 2010, or what is more probanbly, few years later. Radomil talk 17:03, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should divide ww2 war ships into 1) PMW before outbreak of war 2) PMW on the West (cooperation with Alliants). What do ya think?? --Supermatthew 19:27, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody protested, so i've made some changes. Supermatthew 18:34, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Miecznik shouldn't be included yet[edit]

First Miecznik class ship (Arrowhead 140) is to be finished in 2028. Many things can happen until then, as Gawron program showed already in past two decades. Also, if we include 3 Miecznik ships in this article, 3 additional Kormoran class ships should be included too, as they are already contracted. In conclusion, Miecznik class should be removed until construction on first start in shipyard. 2A02:A312:C942:9680:44D2:C800:F0BD:AFF1 (talk) 07:56, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This article is badly written and kinda useless[edit]

First problem: So in recent years several ships were withdrawn from Polish service- for example all of Kobben class submarines. So were are they on this list? Answer is- nowhere. Cause dividing this article into pre WW 2, WW 2, cold war and currently in service sections is not working! Other similiar lists simply name for example all of submarines in one section only! Not in 4 (and to be fair it should be 5 if kobbens were to be added- in a new post cold war section)This article is named "List of ships of the Polish Navy" not "List of Polish ships by conflict" or something like that Second thing: This article in WW2/preWW2 sections lists destroyers, cruisers, minesweepers and so on. But cold war and modern sections also include thing like training ships, survey ships and other auxiliary vessels. Does it mean Poland did not any of such ships before war? Of course they did! But I guess they were not deemed important enough to be listed. And to be fair all of cold war and modern ones that are listed are "big boys". Small ships and boats were also omitted. Third thing: "Currently in service" section is copy-pasted from different article - that much is obvious. It ends with astonishing information: "Over 40 other ships and yachts including museum ship ORP Błyskawica (H34). " - that is just so lazy. You are creating a list of ships, and instead of naming them you write "yeah there is 40 more of them but you know who gives a damn right?" — Preceding unsigned comment added by KalrinEU (talkcontribs) 14:37, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
