Question[edit]

Why isn't the amount of runs cxvbcvbcvb each wicket keeper displayed as these days wicket keepers are selected on the grounds of keeping and batting

Why was a hyphen inserted into Wicketkeeper? Goalkeeper indicates wiki style to not use the hyphen. Moved a page a few days ago and got bollocked because the edit history was reputedly lost.. Now this page has been edited again, how do I move it back to the Wicketkeeper page? Moriori 01:21, Mar 28, 2004 (UTC)

The hyphen is correct - take a look at the Lord's page http://www.lords.org/cricket/lw_0000000066.asp Bob Palin 03:05, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

yup: "wicket-keeper": Law 40: http://www.lords.org/data/files/laws_of_cricket_2003-8685.pdf

I'll go and make that term uniform article wide. 60.226.133.172 11:59, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correction required - P Sen was not the designated wicketkeeper in the game where he took a hat-trick - G Chakraboty was - although Sen was the more usual Bengali keeper (source CricketArchive scorecards) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oleg mcnoleg (talkcontribs) 08:10, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sen did not remove pads ... source here: http://www.cricketarchive.co.uk/Archive/Scorecards/21/21378.html Oleg mcnoleg (talk) 06:37, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Attention needed[edit]

Considering that this is a high importance topic under the WP:CRIC banner, the article is in a very poor state and is particularly afflicted by "recentism". Have flagged it for attention in the assessment template above. ---BlackJack | talk page 08:01, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question: When an over is completed, and the bowler changes, and the bowling is effected from the other end of the pitch, the same wicket-keeper re-positions himself at the other side of the pitch? (I am an Yank learning this great game.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.183.22.254 (talk) 21:24, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Self evidently wicketkeepers initially squat[edit]

Self evidently wicketkeepers initially squat as shown by the image before standing up as the ball is bowled.--Penbat (talk) 15:38, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
