October 2004[edit]

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list the floors top-down, so that it would reproduce the building a bit better? — Bill 22:07, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Discrepency[edit]

On the page for 1970, it lists World Trade Center North Tower completed no december 23, 1970. And this page says 1972, i've looked and found listings for both 70 and 72, so does anyone know which is correct? This is from World Trade Center page: "In 1970, construction was completed on One World Trade Center, with its first tenants moving into the building in December, 1970. Tenants first moved into Two World Trade Center in January 1972."

Ownership[edit]

Who owned these buildings? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.144.130.82 (talkcontribs)

page mismatch.[edit]

The page Two World Trade Center tenants does not match this one. They should be formatted the same. - Zepheus 21:29, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, and I seem to prefer the format used for the WTC1 tenants. Perhaps we could talk about your suggestion on the discussion page of the WTC2 tenants as well, and see if we could work for a single format for both towers.--Húsönd 23:34, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

I'd like to rename these articles to the standard list style:

Any objections? Seabhcán 08:13, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The basements[edit]

The basements were also parts of the towers. There were floors, with tenants inside. So why aren't they included here? This list if far better than the one for 2WTC (which has wrong formatting, double floors, etc.) but lacks this important part of the tower. Here's a diagram of the basement http://img91.imageshack.us/my.php?image=page146rb.png

So, going from floor 8, there are:

8 - mechanical

7 - mechanical

6

5

4

3

2 - Plaza level

1 - Concourse lovel (main lobby)

B1 - customs

B2 - customs

B3 - customs

B4 - tenant storage / building services

B5 - building services

B6 - two stories (those could be called B6 and B7) deep hole in a bedrock (?)

It would be great if someone would find the tenants on these floors.

Makes sense to add 'em - but only once we have some known tenants to list, IMO. --Elvey (talk) 00:49, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strawberry?[edit]

At the very end of the list of the tenants, the following entry can be found: C Ann Taylor Loft, NY Coffee Station, Strawberry, Menchanko-Teikeionos. The word Strawberry is linked to the article of the common plant garden strawberry. Also, I found on Wikipedia no company called Strawberry. It seems to be a mistake or a light form of vandalism. I will delete this word from the article with a corresponding comment. White rotten rabbit (talk) 11:04, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to two external lists of tenants, there actually is a company called Strawberry. I did an undo on my changes (put the word Strawberry back), but deleted the link to the article about the garden strawberry.White rotten rabbit (talk) 11:24, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's the name of a shoe retailer, IIRC.--Elvey (talk) 00:49, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

110th tennants[edit]

I can't provide the material for these three, but I can confirm that CNBC, and CNN both had 2GHz recieve sites on the 110th floor of the building, as well as the State of New Jersey had a two way radio system up there. Unfortunatley, 2GHz sites are licensed by transmitter and not receiver, so there is no real "written" proof of it, and the NJ license was modified to eliminate the WTC site several years ago, so the revision no longer exists on the FCC's website. The other non broadcast tennants, I can not account for. Necrat (talk) 07:33, 2 June 2010 (UTC)NECRAT[reply]

No mention of outside roof access[edit]

No mention of roof access which was open for access, when winds were i believe no more 5 to 8 mph —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.169.125.42 (talk) 05:58, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It erroneously detected http://www.tenantwise.com/reports/wtc_relocate.asp as dead. I both reported is as a false possitive with the link above, and changed the status of the link to Alive on the "Manage individual URLs"-page. @Cyberpower678: Should I really do this on both these pages, or just on one of these pages? (tJosve05a (c) 05:06, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If it's a false positive, you should only really need to report it. If it's something the bot can fix on it's own, it will do so and leave it at that. In other cases where the bot still thinks it's dead, it gets reported to me. In most cases it's because the bot got blocked on the site in question, so it can't ascertain a heartbeat. So I end up having to whitelist the domain. If you check here, the log will show I whitelisted the domain and is now no longer an issue.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 11:41, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Overly precise destruction date[edit]

Absolutely no reason why we should have this down to the minute, considering that all other dates in infobox are only to the day. – Teratix 04:06, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

List of tenants in 1 World Trade CenterList of tenants in 1 World Trade Center (1973-2001) – To prevent ambiguity since in practice the number 1 and the word "one" are used interchangeably in $X World Trade Center to refer to the new tower. Either that or merge with List of tenants in One World Trade Center. Aasim - Herrscher of Wikis 22:03, 17 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 22:47, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I feel like a lot of the companies listed are not notable[edit]

Wikipedia is not a memorial. I know this was a tragic event but a lot of the red-linked companies listed are just trivial mentions from their relevant lists. I would like to either delink or remove the red-links entirely and instead have this article focus on notable companies situated in the original towers. I also removed a similar list in a different article about a few years ago that was listing victims of the Ghost Ship Warehouse fire for the same reason. I want to figure out which companies merit inclusion in this list and which ones don't. I know 9/11 is a big event but we are an encyclopedia, not a website to memorialize victims and companies. Aasim - Herrscher of Wikis 22:08, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest removing the red links, I think that's all you need to do. --Aaron106 (talk) 23:11, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

1971 or 1970?[edit]

On the World Trade Center page it says the first tenants moved into the North Tower on December 15, 1970, while the One World Trade Center page states that the first tenants started moving in October 1971. Which is it? --Aaron106 (talk) 18:12, 2 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

TJX Companies[edit]

Why is there no reference I can find of TJX who lost 7 employees on 9/11/2001? 2600:4040:54D1:F400:31BA:FC02:28FA:4A2B (talk) 03:13, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of tenants in 1 World Trade Center (1971–2001)'''withdrawn''' by proposer. – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. Dekimasuよ! 03:26, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

– Both buildings are independently notable and very well-known. People will have to link to the tenants page which seems annoying to me, Other alternatives would include to move this page to List of tenants in 1 World Trade Center (1970–2001) or create seperate pages for both and keep these tenants pages as is. GabrielPenn4223 (talk) 03:19, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. Question the dates: are these the list of all tenants since 1970, or just all the tenants in 2001? The source it is citing does not say. Walrasiad (talk) 12:23, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The tenants for it's entire existence because the day it opened was December 15, 1970. most of the list are the tenants at the time of the attacks. Clearly there is a "Tenants that lef prior to the attacks" GabrielPenn4223 (talk) 13:24, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Proposal withdrawn Twin Towers already redirects to the old WTC page. GabrielPenn4223 (talk) 05:22, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
