Hi Dan, have you seen Shoreham-by-Sea? I think the two articles now need merging. Warofdreams 17:22, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I guess they do! The town is usually referred to as Shoreham or Shoreham by Sea, without hyphens. So I didn't find it before starting the new page ...

I'm new to this, so what's the best way to merge the pages? Dan

The best way to merge them is to pick one as the new title (I suggest Shoreham-by-Sea, I expect Shoreham will become a disambiguation page), and combine the best bits of the two articles into a new article there. Then, when you're finished, redirect the other one to it. You've written a good article, so its worth perservering! Warofdreams 17:53, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Little context in Electric Colour Climax[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Electric Colour Climax, by Henkje123, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Electric Colour Climax is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Electric Colour Climax, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Electric Colour Climax itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:14, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I restored Electric Colour Climax, but I wanted to explain why I deleted it in the first place: one, it's been orphan tagged since August. Two, you didn't attach a hangon reasoning. Please try and do it promptly if an article is speedied, (usually you'll be warned) because I'll delete it promptly if it satisfies criteria and has no filled out hangon. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Soundwaves Festival, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.soundwaves-festival.org.uk/highlights.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. A tag has been placed on Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed (bookshop) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. — dαlus Contribs /Improve 19:46, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Soundwaves Festival[edit]

A tag has been placed on Soundwaves Festival requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Hi - this article does not include copyrighted text so I'll remove CorenSearchBot's tag. I write for the Soundwaves Festival and am using the same text as a starting point, developing it in more depth for this wikipedia article. WorthyDan (talk) 18:00, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just because you're a writer for the publication, or business, does not give you the right to distribute the work, the work must be licensed under a GNU Free licensing if you want to copy the work, as of the moment, I do not see such a tag at the cited website, so I am re-adding the copyright violation tag.— dαlus Contribs /Improve 19:51, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,[edit]

Help, see here. [1] Never was a disambiguation page, before see[2] I wanted to add more information to the word Never, about funny sayings which express the notion never in different languages, like for example: When hell freezes over.

The page would looked complicated otherwise.[3]. I thougt I create a separate article for the word and keep the rest as a disambiguation page

About the article never, people agreed on that it was ok to expand it, see my talk page. I did not wanted to make a dictionary of it, I just wanted to add funny sayings. .

But the matter is solved now, sorry to waste your time.

The article Michael Leigh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No significant coverage in independent reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
