Spaniards from Toledo used the coastal side of Giloktog in approaching Balili then. During the period decendants of Salipara a chieftain who retreated to weastcoast of Cebu after his defeat from eastcoat led against the invaders namely Kanla Tumbo, Kandugay, Kanhakbas, Kanpangga Kandampas,are principal chieftains.
