Naming Convention[edit]

As the character 山 (shān) means "mountain" in Chinese, article names such as "Mount Taishan" are redundant and should either be changed to "Mount Tai" or "Tai Shan". As it is, some of the articles use the former convention, some the latter, and some use the redundant form. We should probably adopt a convention across the articles. My preference is to use the "Tai Shan" style, and if there is no objection I'll make the change soon.--Jkiang 03:34, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. RedWolf 04:57, Aug 29, 2004 (UTC)
