Modified entry with original text[edit]

I don't know who entered the original text - but the current text is original work product with some modifications to some of the original text entry. My contribution is based upon my entry for Bricket Wood (see Lady Yule); Charles Boot; modifications to the entry for J. Arthur Rank and the new entry for British National Films Company which I created and which I will be also modifying due to new research and information. I will also be adding to the text of this page to give it a more representative listing of film productions. (The original text that was objected to only listed the "Carry On" series.) Added partial listing of movies[edit]

This is not a complete list and the existing list could be fleshed out with more links to stars not listed by several of the entries. I have not had time to do this to date. It welcomes input from a movie buff. MPLX/MH 01:28, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Isn't that what the 'Pinewood Studios Filmography' article is for? That lists all the productions ever produced there.--TheIslander 23:17, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not a soundstage[edit]

COMMENT ON FACTUAL ERROR (21/4/06): The 007 stage is NOT a soundstage: it's a silent stage (and the world's biggest purpose-built one, I think). However, I don't like to edit this because 'soundstage' is a link to another page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.178.224.255 (talk)

You're correct per Pinewood. We don't have an article on silent stage, though, so the wikilink is OK until we do. --Dhartung | Talk 21:11, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The same article talks about sound and silent stages and the difference between them. If the 007 stage isn't a sound stage then it shouldn't be called one here. The link can be to the same Wiki page but the text showing in this article should be changed. I've changed the article here -- SteveCrook (talk) 04:15, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photograph of new Entrance[edit]

I work for a tenant of the studios. The entrance of the studio is now as shown in Pinewood Website "The new gateway #1" and "The new gateway #2" in the Pinewood gallery. Does anyone have a picture that can be used to show the new gate. I can take one but if someone has a better picture (free of other peoples Intellectual property) then I'd rather use it Klynchk (talk) 18:34, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

I'd like a map or a sketch of the plot with a scale to size how big it is. And please convert the measures in the article to the metric system. --Error (talk) 01:25, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign studios[edit]

Hi all, just wondering if it would make sense for the content in section 2.2 Pinewood Atlanta Studios and 2.3 Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios to be in the Pinewood Group article instead of this one? This article is supposed to only be about the UK studio. Tvcameraop (talk) 10:28, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
