Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sesquipedalianism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sesquipedalianism was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was DELETE

Isn't it strange to submit your own page for deletion? Anyway, I accidentally hit the Save Page button while working on it, and about 30 seconds later I realized that this article shouldn't even be on Wikipedia, it should be on Wiktionary instead. Please delete quickly. Mike Storm 15:52, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • I think you are reasonably within your rights to blank the page and nominate it for a speedy delete. You could alternatively change it into a redirect to nonce word. Dunc_Harris| 16:35, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Hmm...No, don't blank the page because blanking is usually seen as vandalism and is quick to revert. A speedy delete, however, is a good idea and you should go ahead and nominate it. —Mr. Grinch 16:49, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge content into nonce word (as an example), then move this content to Wiktionary, then make this a redirect to nonce word - David Gerard 14:15, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • It's just floccinaucinihilpilification, and supercalifragilistic floccinaucinihilipilifaction at that. Delete. Dpbsmith 16:36, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
