Additionally, this article states in part, "The term was first used in the 1984 film Ghostbusters..." directly contradicting a statement from the Ghostbusters article. To wit: "A problem arose during filming when it was discovered that a show was produced in 1975 by Filmation for CBS called The Ghost Busters, starring Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker." It goes on to say Columbia purchased the rights to use the name, suggesting that although the term did not gain worldwide popularity until the 1984 movie, it was not in fact the "first use."
