Minor copy editing and request for additional info[edit]

I fixed some minor typos and tried to streamline the text in order to make it more readable. I also created the history subsection and moved one paragraph from the lead into that area in addition to adding a paragraph of information I ran across.

This topic is interesting...does anyone know any more about it? For instance, the article mentions "Progressive Anatolian Style"--does anyone know what that is? I'd love to know. Lazulilasher (talk) 02:51, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work, it actually looks like something now. About progressive Anatolian style, honestly I have no idea. I recommend you to listen to Mezarkabul (aka Pentagram in Turkey) for some more modern examples of Anatolian rock, that's what I've been doing for the last couple of days ;).--Doktor Gonzo 11:15, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm listening to Mezarkabul right now. They're pretty (very) good--but then I'm a sucker for gang vocals. Here's a YouTube clip of their song "Anatolia". I'm going to do some searching today for some more history of the movement to see what I can find.   - Thank you for re-introducing them, and for notifying me in my talk page. Actually, the first five albums by Status Quo had an influence on the bands at the beginning, since at that time there was a motion in Turkish bands towards Psychedelic music (especially, Erkin Koray's albums), mainly Psychedelic rock. Later, the motion changed to progressive modes (for example, Mavi Işıklar). The Hungarian band Omega (especially, the album Ejszakai Orszagut) influenced the early bands of Anatolian rock towards progressive rock. Regards. E104421 (talk) 11:05, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awkward title?[edit]

The title is a bit awkward? Anatolian rock is a genre of music - some of these bands subsequently signed with foreign labels, etc so the scope of the title is too narrow. Also, Anatolian rock music is the common term used by WP:RS. Would there be objections to moving this?Seraphim System ^(talk) 13:11, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Anatolian and Turkish rock[edit]

"Related musicians and bands" section[edit]

This section is clearly a mess. About half of the artists mentioned are already in the article, and they can be safely removed. I suggest either inserting the rest into the main article or, at worst, putting them in See also. Colaheed777 (talk) 19:09, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
