Affimer[edit]

Hi Mjvinegrad! Thanks for the work you put into the article about affimers, it sounds really interesting. Just two questions:

  • The article says affimers have a mass of about 11 kDa, while the table in Antibody mimetic has 12–14 kDa. I assume the value in your article is the right one, but I'd rather you correct the wrong value as I haven't got any sources for this.
  • File:Affimer image.png has an incomplete non-free media rationale that says it's a logo, which doesn't seem correct. Do you need help with this? As it stands, there's a risk of somebody deleting it.

Hello ἀνυπόδητος (talk). Thanks for the feedback. I have corrected the data. 12 - 14 kDa is the most accurate and up to date measurement available. I have referenced a published GEN journal article which states it is 13, to reflect this. On your second point, the images section, I would appreciate some help. I found it confusing to correctly categorise the image. I can confirm that I have permission to use it (it was created by my colleague at Avacta), but I have obviously not added the correct info. As you say, it is not a logo. It is a visual rendering of the Affimer molecule.
